V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack is the first WiiWare title released by High Voltage Software. It is a five person game of Black Jack that takes place in a private casino room around a Black Jack table. During the course of play, players work toward unlocking 22 achievements like High Roller, Power Player, Card Shark, Elite Gambler, awarded for various reasons, from playing the game for a certain length of time or winning a certain amount of money, to maintaining a series of winning hands.

V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack has the basics of a good Black Jack game, all in a well laid out casino room. The overall design of the game is quite simple with an intuitive interface which makes the game very easy to navigate. However, that is to be expected from a game with very few options available to players.

Although up to four players can play locally but there is no online multiplayer option. A downfall, especially for a multiplayer game, is that there is no character customization available. Each player just defaults to one of the five stock animated characters and cannot even input their own name.

V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack is worth its price of 700 Wii points which equals $7.00. That said, it is most fun when played for short periods of time because the dealer animation is quite slow and the game becomes repetitive after awhile. If you’re looking for a cheap, basic game of Blackjack, the game will give you just that.
